The Manitowish Waters Bike Trail Committee went through the grant process, thereafter determining that going the route of private funding greatly reduced the costs. The Manitowish Waters Bike Trail, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit was established to provide a tax deductible opportunity for constituents to assist in the development of the community and its trail system.

We are currently conducting a fund drive for the development of Phase 3 of the master plan. This Town-approved Phase 3 is approximately 1.4 miles in length, builds off the existing 6.1 mile trail, and runs from Clear Lake Rd. to North Lakeland School.
